Fabrication Items in Revit work a bit differently than they do in CADmep. Likewise, so do the VDC Item Properties Palettes. Below is list of the initial Item Properties that will be available in the VDC REVIT Beta.
Displays the quantity of selected Items along with their Name and CID respectively. The drop down list will filter your selection on this value.
Displays the Service Type of the selected Items. The drop down list will filter your selection on this value. This value is currently read only in Revit.
This will display and modify the Service for selected Items. Revit includes an excellent tool for this right out of the box, however you must choose a specific Service Tab to change ALL of the selected Items to. For example, if we had Items from multiple Service Tabs selected (Round, Rect, Oval), the built in tool will force us to change them all to a single Service Tab, resizing them to fit the new shape. In many cases we just want the software to select an appropriate Service Tab for each Item. Changing Service with the VDC REVIT Properties Palette will do just that, redrawing each part with the new Service, much like Design Line.
SPEC / MATERIAL
Displays and filters selected parts on these values. In Revit, Service, Spec, and Material are closely related. If we need to change the Spec or Material for certain Items, it is recommended that we change to a Service with the desired values.
Displays and modifies the Connectors for the Selected Items. Unlocking Connectors will change them to their Spec driven value.
Displays and modifies the Insulation Spec for the selected Items.
Displays and modifies the Level of the selected Items.
Displays and modifies the Level Offset of the selected Items. The drop down list can set the Elevation Type to Bottom, Top, Center, Lowest, or Highest. Selected Items will be disconnected from any other Items not also in the selection.
Displays and modifies the Status of selected Items.
CUT TYPE / BOUGHT OUT
Displays these values for the selected Items. The drop down lists will filter your selection on these values. These values are currently read only in Revit.
